Highlands Prime completes final phase of Horizon development

Homebuyers of Horizon Terraces can now move in and wake up to views of the Tagaytay Highlands landscape, following the completion of the development’s final phase by Highlands Prime Inc. (HPI), a subsidiary of SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SM Prime)

“All buildings at Horizon Terraces are now complete and ready for move-in,” said Patrick Joseph A. Villano, vice president and head of operations for SM Leisure Resort Residences. “From relaxing dips in the pool to taking quiet walks at the Central Garden, residents can start enjoying a fully realized mountain community they will want to return to every day.”

Set on a 3.2-hectare enclave 240 meters above sea level, Horizon Terraces offers views of the Tagaytay Midlands Golf Course, Taal Lake and Mt. Makiling. The development is already nearly 90 percent sold, indicating continued demand for homes in the leisure estate.

The completion of Horizon Terraces follows the success of The Horizon, the first phase of the development, which attracted buyers looking for residences that can serve as primary homes, retirement retreats or long-term assets for their families.

More than 70 percent of Horizon Terraces is devoted to landscaped gardens and open spaces, giving the low-density community a spacious setting. At its center is a one-hectare garden with resort-style swimming pools, a children’s playground, pocket gardens and areas for recreation, fitness and outdoor activities.

The development offers different residential configurations. Garden Villas are three-storey townhomes with floor areas ranging from 139 to 172 square meters across the Scottsdale, Glendale and Sunnyvale clusters.

Garden Suites, meanwhile, offer one- and two-bedroom units ranging from 35 to 103 square meters in the low-rise St. Andrews, Glenview, Westchase and Redstone buildings.

“The range of unit configurations is meant to give buyers the flexibility to choose what works for them, whether for weekend stays, longer family visits or more permanent mountain living in the future,” Villano said.

The completed development gives homeowners access to a fully established community, with landscaped surroundings and amenities already in place. For buyers looking for a second home or retirement property, the setting also offers the convenience of moving into a finished residential enclave rather than waiting for the completion of common facilities.

Horizon Terraces forms part of Tagaytay Highlands, SM Prime’s leisure estate that combines residential communities with recreational facilities and mountain amenities.

With its latest residential phase completed and nearly 90 percent of units sold, Horizon Terraces is positioned as another residential offering for homebuyers seeking a home away from the city while remaining within the established Tagaytay Highlands community.
