Laguna Technopark Marks 30 Years of Contributing to Region’s Economic Progress

Laguna Technopark, a dynamic industrial community developed by AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC), has reached its 30th anniversary, a testament to the company’s commitment to regional development, Manila Bulletin reported.

ALLHC Head of Industrial Parks and Real Estate Logistics, Patrick C. Avila, expressed appreciation for their partners who showed support and confidence in the company since 1990.

Vowing to sustain the improvements on their offerings, he said they will further strengthen their portfolio and accommodate more enterprises looking to set up shop in the country.



Shinji Kawabata, President of Denso Ten Philippines Corporation, one of the first industrial locators, noted how Laguna Technopark helped their company thrive. He mentioned the easy access to a wide pool of skilled talents, excellent amenities, and key infrastructures.

The chief executive commended the Laguna Technopark management for forging strong synergies with partners.

Strong Foundation

From sugarcane fields, ALLHC transformed parts of the cities of Santa Rosa and Biñan into the 471-hectare progressive estate it’s known today. 

Since 1990, Laguna Technopark has hosted and served global and local firms, establishing itself as an ideal destination for top manufacturing enterprises. 

It has over 270 locator-companies, spurring unmatched export revenues and generating employment opportunities. Over 100,000 people directly work for such firms.

For this reason, ALLHC takes pride in contributing to the rapid economic progress the region has seen in the last years.

Sustained Growth

Eager to see development take place in other parts of the country, ALLHC owns and operates other dynamic industrial estates. Cavite Technopark, located in Naic, similarly caters to manufacturing companies specializing in electronics, automotive, consumer products, food processing, and pharmaceuticals. Initially, the estate covered 118 hectares. Because of the increased demand, it grew to 166 hectares, offering lots with 4,000 to 15,000 square meters.

ALLHC has likewise expanded to Central Luzon, as reported by Manila Bulletin. The Pampanga Technopark is a 192-hectare estate located near NLEX-SCTEX-TPLEX, close to the Clark International Airport and Subic.

Meanwhile, the Laguindingan Technopark, which broke ground last year, stretches 105 hectares, Sunstar reported. It’s expected to generate 5,000 jobs and benefit neighboring communities. Because of its strategic location in the south, the development is primed to be a major logistics center in the country.



On top of the industrial parks, ALLHC owns and manages Tutuban Center in Manila and South Park Center in Muntinlupa.

With higher revenues from industrial lots, warehouse, and commercial leasing operations, ALLHC posted a 15 percent increase in net income in 2019, as mentioned in this Business World report. 

Such growth, according to Rowena M. Tomeldan, ALLHC President and CEO, produces more employment opportunities within their company’s developments. The industrial estates support communities by stimulating economic activities.

Further Development

Committed to serving more enterprises, ALLHC plans to expand their offerings. Aside from industrial land sales, they lease out standard factory buildings. 

Currently, the company owns and operates eight properties within five key locations in Luzon. For one, Cavite Technopark’s warehouse solutions offer units that have dimensions reaching up to 1,210 square meters.

By the end of 2020, they envision offering over 200,000 sqm of gross leasable area in their warehouse portfolio.

Tomeldan noted that their industrial developments are “co-catalysts of progress.” She said they will remain committed to developing business parks located in key areas that would spur regional progress and job opportunities for Filipinos.

Real Estate Recovery

The availability of industrial and logistics facilities supporting enterprises will prove beneficial in the overall recovery of the property sector from the pandemic. 

Property experts have already noted the demand for such properties given the resilient performance of e-commerce amid stay-at-home orders. Moreover, businesses have been looking to expand outside of the capital as part of continuity plans. 



For this reason, ALLHC’s offerings will not just support regional economic growth, but also contribute to hastening pandemic recovery for the real estate sector as a whole.
