In a bid to accelerate industrial growth in Central Luzon, property developer Filinvest Land Inc. and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) inaugurated the Filinvest Innovation Park – New Clark City (FIP-NCC) in Capas, Tarlac.
The first phase of the project was made through Filinvest-BCDA Clark Inc., a joint venture of Filinvest Land with the BCDA.
Described as a “growth hub,” the 60-hectare land is designed as a “sustainable industrial hub” that will house 2,500 to 5,000 square meter ready-built factories (RBFs), and built-to-suit units that will meet the needs of its potential tenants.
The RBFs are described to meet Grade A warehouse specifications such as “high ceiling clearance, generous floor load capacity, raised production floors with loading docks, and robust utility infrastructure support, along with high-speed Internet access and fire detection & suppression systems.”
One to 11 hectare “mega lots” can also be leased by companies that require larger facilities.
Filinvest Land President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tristan Las Marias said the new hub represents the company’s aim to expand its industrial footprint in the Central Luzon region.
“With its state-of-the-art green and digital features, FIP-NCC will provide an ideal environment for logistics, e-commerce, and light manufacturing ventures. We take pride in offering a new asset class that not only supports businesses but also contributes to the local economy’s growth – ready for tomorrow, ready for the world,” he said.
The innovation park was inaugurated last Oct. 20 during a groundbreaking ceremony of the park’s RBF zone and blessing of a two-storey administration building.
It was attended by Filinvest Development Corp. President and CEO Rhoda A. Huang, BCDA President and CEO Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang; Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Deputy Zone Administrator Allan P. Datahan; and Clark Development Corp. Vice President, Engineering Services Group Engr. Teresito T. Tiotuyco.
“Filinvest is one of the first to believe in NCC’s potential as the next economic hub of the Philippines. We are confident that in months and years to come, more locators will see the potential of FIP and the whole of NCC — as it boasts of a strategic location that is both resilient and connected,” said Engr. Bingcang.
The FIP-NCC is registered as a PEZA ecozone, meaning potential enterprises that will occupy the area can avail of benefits such as tax incentives, streamlined trade processes, and special visa privileges for foreign employees.
The FIP-NCC, located within the 28-hectare Filinvest New Clark City, can be accessed through key passageways like the Airport-NCC Road, which directly links to the Clark International Airport in 15 to 20 minutes; and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway-NCC Road, which links NCC to Subic Bay.
The new innovation park is the latest of Filinvest’s tech hub properties, among the Filinvest Technology Park and FIP Ciudad de Calamba in Laguna.
