Leisure & Resorts World Corporation (LRWC) reported the election of Ramon D. Dizon and Atty. Jose Raulito E. Paras to its board of directors following the resignation of Winston A. Chan and Paolo Martin O. Bautista.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, the firm said Chan and Bautista tendered their resignation as directors and members of various committees. The board accepted their resignation and thanked them for their years of service in the company.
Dizon was then elected as Independent Director and Member of the Corporate Governance Committee, as well as Chairman of the Audit Committee, Related Party Transactions Committee, Compensation Committee, and Board Risk Oversight Committee (BROC) to replace Chan.
For the BROC, Dizon will replace Atty. Timoteo Aquino as Chairman, but Aquino will still remain as member of the BROC.
Also on same date, the LRWC Board elected Paras as Director and member of the Audit Committee and Compensation Committee to replace Bautista.
Dizon is a retired senior partner of SGV & Co. and has more than 40 years of professional experience in advisory and assurance services.
He has previously held leadership positions in SGV/EY, as Head of Transaction Advisory Services; Risk Advisory Services; Market Group (specializing in Real Estate, BPO, Telco) and Head of Training & Methodology.
Paras is a Partner of the Andres Padernal & Paras Law Offices since it was founded in 2004. He handles industrial relation matters, family disputes, and property acquisition and estate planning projects.
He remains active in the legal profession and also currently sits in the board of several private and listed companies either as director or corporate secretary.
