The Philippines’ great architect of artful landscapes and sophisticated themed communities finds even more reasons to build beautiful and build better.
While Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc. has long been creating thoughtfully masterplanned spaces that elevate the quality of lives of its residents, it is now driven by a fresh impetus—to cater to a market whose needs and preferences continue to evolve in light of a highly competitive landscape and the lessons learned over the past two years during the pandemic.
Upping the ante
Thus today, Vista Land seeks to create even better and more sustainable communities that can offer the right opportunities for its residents, cultivate their passions, encourage healthier lifestyles, as well as fuel growth and progress in their locales. It is now finding and rolling out innovative ways to ensure that residents and guests are able to live, work, shop and enjoy safely in resilient, beautiful communities that can further enhance lives for the better.
Its five wholly owned subsidiaries—Brittany Corp., Crown Asia Properties Inc., Vista Residences Inc., Camella Homes Inc., and Communities Philippines Inc.,—are all hard at work, creating masterpieces that have their own distinct appeal, and which will serve the needs of Filipino families even well beyond this health and economic crisis.
Even its mall and office development arm, Vistamalls Inc., in which the company owns an 88.34 percent stake, is aggressively upping the ante across its 31 malls, 69 commercial centers and seven offices.
Continued expansion
As it is, Vista Land already has a strong presence in key locations, having brought its expertise and trademark lifestyle to 147 cities and municipalities across 49 provinces. The country’s biggest homebuilder, which also has the widest geographic presence and an equally diverse portfolio, is no doubt raring to do more.
For this year alone, Vista Land has initially allocated P27 billion for capital spending, the bulk of which will be for construction of projects, thus ensuring the timely turnover of homes and units to homebuyers and investors. The rest will be for land development and acquisition.
The company is also poised to launch more upscale, vertical and commercial developments in selected locations, and has now identified over 60 Vista Estates projects to date.
Through Vista Estates, the company is building “cities within cities” that reflect urban ideals and cosmopolitan lifestyles that many Filipinos aspire for. These estates offer the luxury of living in a masterplanned community that has malls, schools, leisure facilities, offices and everything else a modern metropolis has to offer. Its proximity to other districts and infrastructure projects further create that vibrant, self-sustaining community that will allow you to thrive.
A substantial proof of Filipinos’ warm reception to these efforts by Vista Land is the listed company’s first quarter performance, which showed reservation sales growth and sustained margin improvement. As of end March this year, Vista Land’s unaudited net income hit P2.36 billion, up 13 percent from a year ago.
Gold standard
There is no doubt that Vista Land has grown by leaps and bounds over the last four decades, with its strong brands becoming market leaders—gold standards—in their respective categories.
Brittany is the luxury residential arm that has upscale leisure projects in some of the country’s most premier lifestyle destinations, while Crown Asia is the premium residential arm known for creating themed communities that were inspired by the timeless elegance and sophistication of some of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Since its inception in 1977, Camella has since expanded from standardized housing to include large scale communities geared towards the mid-market segment all over the country. Communities Philippines meanwhile was born in 1983 to offer low cost residential property outside the Mega Manila area, whereas Vista Residences, in 2009, became the company’s brand for mid-rise and high-rise projects, which are offered through Camella’s vertical villages.
What makes these brands emerge as market leaders is the fact that these do not only provide homes and condominium units, but rather they also offer fresh, vibrant and energized communities that help ensure a better way of life.
At the same time, each development under the Vista Group adheres to Environmental, Social and Governance goals that ensure its long-term viability—decent work and economic growth; industry, innovation and infrastructure; and sustainable cities and communities.
In particular, Vista Land helps curb the swelling housing backlog through continuous residential development across all market segments, providing them with communities that integrate housing, commercial spaces, and access to green and open spaces. It also ensures uninterrupted supply of electricity and water, circulation, internet connectivity as well as proximity to transport services and other infrastructure projects.
More notably, Vista Land also provides employment opportunities to the communities where the company operates, thus helping spur economic activities in the area.
Indeed, there is so much more to these artful landscapes and beautifully themed communities than what meets the eye. Vista Land is a powerful trailblazer, innovator and economic driver that ensures nothing less than safety, convenience, well-being and resilience in every community it builds.
