Construction firm Sika Philippines is banking on digitalization and retail distribution as core focus on its business expansion this year.
The company recently launched its newest retail product line as part of its targeted home construction solutions which are easy to use and apply.
“Sika’s theme this year is customer centricity, pivoting ways on how to adapt and provide solutions in the new normal mostly through digitalization,” said Christophe Lejeune, Sika General manager.
Sika is presently strengthening its retail distribution as it launched the products during the first ever virtual retail product and Sika Retail Management Tool Launch.
“We launched Sika Retail Management Tool to make managing retail network easier through an online app accessible to distributors, to monitor activities of their hardware store network related to Sika business,” according to Christophe Lejeune.
During the event held recently, Sika executives shared marketing support and programs that can be given to retail distributors.
“As part of the integration of Sika and Parex last 2019, Sika is proud to include in its roster of retail products targeted solutions for home repair, renovation and new construction,” Alainne Leonardo, Target Market and Marketing Head of Sika Philippines said.
The new products include sealing and bonding, waterproofing, crack repair and grouting solutions
Sika launched its Sealing and Bonding products such as the Sikaflex Construction multipurpose sealant for sealing gas and holes. Sikaflex is designed for movement and connection joints on porous substrates as well as indoor and outdoor sealing applications.
Another product is the Sika Boom AP, a fast-curing fixing swellable foam used for fixing, insulating and filling connection joints around window and door frames, pipe entries, air conditioning vents and roller blind housing, etc.
It also launched Sikabond-124 instant nails, or what is called the “Soundless Nail”. It is a multi purpose adhesive applicable with most common materials with a strong bond without the pukpok and ingay.
Sika also launched the Sikadur 20 crack seal, the hassle-free solution for basag and biyak. It is an epoxy based crack sealer. It is used to fill and seal non-structural and cavities in structural concrete such as balconies, concrete decks, concrete roof structures/slabs, wet room, swimming pool and crack treatment before waterproofing works.
Meanwhile, it also launched SILKAGROUT 112 PH, an economical general purpose non-shrink grout. Other products include Sika-1 integral waterproofing (liquid mixture) and Sikament NN Powder, a strength enhancer concrete admixture with hollow-block booster properties.
The launch was graced by Alvin Patrimonio who was introduced as 2021 full Sika brand ambassador.
