DAVAO CITY — Vista Land and Lifescapes, Inc. (VLL) is launching its first project here under the Camella Manors brand, which are condominiums within the real estate developers’ mixed-use communities.
“All the vertical developments outside Metro Manila will be under the new brand Camella Manors… What we’ve realized over the past years and even based on surveys in the industry, Camella remains to be the most preferred brand when it comes to housing and house and lot,” Marlon B. Escalicas, operations head of Camella Manors, said in a virtual interview in late December.
The Manors are positioned as “vertical villages,” he said, as these combine the conveniences of condominium living within a community in a prime location with commercial establishments, public transport access, and medical facilities, among others.
The first in Davao City will be tagged as Camella Manors – The Frontera, located in the Buhangin area.
“This is our opening salvo for (2021) … and this time around we want more unit owners to be able to own a piece of Frontera so we are offering studios priced at P2.8 million,” Mr. Escalicas said.
The company is targeting the “investment market,” or those who buy a property as an earning asset through rentals or simply for its increasing value over time.
“Right now, what we have noticed because of the instability of a lot of investments due to the pandemic, real estate remains to be a very less risky and stable investment because the valuation of property has not gone down. It is even increasing in value,” he said.
VLL has several existing condominium complex and residential subdivision projects in the city.
“As a brand, we are very solid and very strong and we wanted to capitalize on the brand offering a new product line for Camella, which is now the vertical. Ever since Camella has been known for house and lot but right now, Camella becomes a complete line of horizontal and vertical projects,” Mr. Escalicas said. — Maya M. Padillo
