Feng shui expert Marites Allen recently held her annual forecast via webinar, as based on the 12 animal signs.
According to her webinar, 2021 will be the Year of the Metal Ox, a favorable year for economic recovery or consolidation, and long-term investments. It will also be a year when all problems are resolved with discipline, and which will be great for making order in the family life.
She further claimed that 2021 will likewise be a time for emotional and spiritual as well as economical reconstruction. In other words, the destruction caused by the pandemic in 2020, various conflicts, misunderstandings, as well as the general economic crisis will be the starting point for a new vision regarding the development and technological evolution of the world economy, based on new, more viable criteria.
The Year of the Metal Ox is governed by the Yin principle, which inspires our self, understanding and emotional warmth, immersion in our personal life and strengthening of family relationships. Key areas are agriculture (an important source of food), housing construction and environmental protection measures.
To enhance the metal energy of 2021, add modern or vintage metal objects like trays, vases, candlesticks, platters, fruit bowl, statues and moving metal objects like metal wind chimes, gongs, Tibetan bowls, perpetual motion machine. Feng shui metal remedies include Pagoda of the five elements, Kalachakra Stupa, Pillar with heart sutra, Wu Lou, the statuette of the 8 immortals.
The year 2021 is set to be a period of calmness, harmony and peace around the world. Amid the uncertainty due to COVID-19, 2021 is expected to be a period of recovery—or at least, the start of a recovery, for many businesses including real estate.
Demand for homes outside the city centers and capital region may see growth in 2021, as more homebuyers seek for bigger spaces to move about, and especially if companies will continue to implement work-from-home setup amid the pandemic. Many are gaining interest in investing in suburban homes, which offer spaces needed for one’s home office, study area, recreation/leisure room and more.
The year 2021 might also see a rise in local tourism since international travel bans are still largely being implemented amid fears of COVID-19 transmission, while for those that have opened their borders, international travel requirements and permits can be complicated and cumbersome. So as more local resorts begin to open, next year might be a good time to check out the different island getaways offering discounted weekend packages.
Last weekend, I discovered a quaint dive resort in one of the diving capitals of the Philippines. Portulano Dive Resort is a boutique diving resort in Bauan, the more quiet side of Balayan Bay, north of Anilao, Batangas. The resort is in the heart of the world’s coral triangle, where you can experience the richest marine biodiversity and the most colorful reefs in the world.
Filled with artistic touches in every corner, the entire resort feels so homey and welcoming. The cozy lounge areas are so inviting to chill between dives. Arnel and Carmela Sevilla attend to their guests personally and have added all the important safety protocols and measures to ensure a virus-free resort. For more details, check out Portulano.com or call 0917-540-4257.
