ANGELES CITY: A prominent businessman sought police protection as he feared for his life and family members because of stalking incidents this month. Jeffrey Dizon, 48, requested help from Police Regional Office 3 chief BGen Valeriano de Leon because of a series of assassination attempts to his life.
After the shooting incidents in February and March, Dizon offered a P3-million reward to anyone who could provide the identity and other information leading to the arrest of his assailants. He also told the police that early this month, while he was dining with his daughter and a staff, unidentified persons took their photos.
“A police investigator said the incident was part of a ‘casing’ and a clear indication of pre-attack, and that the threat is real and imminent,” Dizon said.
He noted that he was uncertain who his enemies were, but pointed out a dispute within the family business.
The businessman is the eldest son of the late Tomas Dizon, one of the prominent names in the province for successful real estate projects.
He, however, dismissed the possibility that his siblings might be behind the attempt to his life.
