President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered the immediate payment for contractors who delivered their infrastructure projects well.
In a press briefing on Monday, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the President urged his Cabinet to “move forward” from the flood control scandal and ensure all pending infrastructure projects will be completed swiftly.
Castro said finishing the current infrastructure projects will help lift the country’s economy.
Payment of infrastructure projects slowed down as scrutiny of ghost projects came into limelight.
She said the public deserves to benefit from the ongoing infrastructure programs of government.
Marcos blew the whistle on corruption involving contractors on flood control projects in his State of the Nation last year.
