Megaworld Lifestyle Malls bags 9 Quills at the 19th Philippine Quill Awards

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls has garnered a total of 9 Quills at the 19th Philippine Quill Awards for its communication campaigns that made an impact in the lives of its customers.

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls received 6 Awards of Excellence for its various campaigns and projects including its Community Markets initiative, which gave spotlight to local businesses with homegrown and homemade products that helped the respective communities get back on their feet and restart their livelihood.

Other programs of the company that received the Excellence Awards were the Eat Out and Help Out advocacy under the Social Media Program category for its effective use of online platforms to promote dining and giving back to frontliners; and Now Is A Good Time Webinar Series under the Customer Relations category for inspiring mall patrons to bring back the joys of shopping and dining the brick-and-mortar way by using thought-leadership marketing.

Mckinley Hill Float-in Cinema also garnered an Excellence Award for bringing back the cinema-watching experience in a safe way, aboard socially-distanced gondolas, alfresco style.

Greenhouse at Village Square Alabang bagged an Excellence Award in Community Relations for offering a one-stop shop for all gardening needs and expertise, while providing a safe place where people can shop from the widest variety of plants, gardening supplies, tools and many more.

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ Safer and Happier Outdoors campaign also took home an Excellence Award for introducing a whole new concept of enjoying a day out in the malls amidst the new normal by focusing on the things and activities that customers miss and can now engage in safely outdoors.  It won under the Marketing, Advertising and Brand Communication category.

A Merit Award was given to the Eastwood City Drive-thru Pet Blessing for its Media Relations efforts, further boosting Eastwood City as the first pet-friendly mall community in the country, by innovating its longest-running pet blessing event in the country by shifting into a drive-thru setup for safety amid the pandemic.

The Eat Out and Help Out campaign also won a Merit Award for Corporate Social Responsibility, for recognizing the need to amplify its support to the industry and producing a campaign aimed at reviving the country’s economy while paying tribute to the country’s frontliners.



Alliance Global Inc. CEO Kevin L. Tan’s 2021 Annual Stockholders Meeting report won a Merit Award for the Audio/Visual category, as Mr. Kevin Tan shared how the Group looks forward to the future with optimism and confidence and how it plans to evolve its presence and strength as a global company.

In total, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls has garnered 6 Excellence Awards and 3 Merit Awards.

Megaworld Foundation was cited with 2 Excellence Awards for its Rice Together Employee Engagement project, and for the Mega Summer Ventures Version 2.0 initiative. Their entry The Visionary, The Philanthropist was given 2 Merit Awards, for the Publications and Writing categories respectively.

Other Megaworld Foundation projects that were recognized with Merit Awards were Green Thumbs Up: Megaworld Foundation E-Planting Activity; HISTORY MADE: MREIT’s etches name in PSE history books with simultaneous bell ringing in multiple locations on its listing day; and Connect2Connect: Nurturing Megaworld Scholars through Digital Transformation in the New Normal. 

Quill Awards also recognized Megaworld Corporation as 2nd Runner up for the Company of the Year 2022.
