Pampanga’s amazing spots, hidden gems

Yes, travel is very much back. And as we’ve seen over the last several months, more and more people have started to hit the road or book a flight to their favorite destinations—getaways they’ve missed over the past two years.

But if you’re among those who just started to go out of their homes and would want to explore somewhere near in the meantime, do consider Pampanga. About two hours’ ride from the metro, the Culinary Capital of the Philippines is brimming with hidden farms, aesthetic cafes, homegrown restos, and other stopovers you have yet to discover.

So if you’re looking someplace to go this weekend, check out some of these amazing spots in Pampanga.

Fiona’s Farm

Get that much needed break from all the noise and hustle of the city.

At Fiona’s Farm, you get to readily bask in the beauty and serenity of nature, and enjoy all that lush greenery and fresh air. This exclusive farm resort in Magalang, Pampanga, currently offers accommodation options that range from simple wooden cottages to grand suites, suitable for couples, families, and even bigger groups. Its floating cottage, which comes with a lap pool, can accommodate as much as 20 people.

What’s good though is Fiona Farm’s thrust for sustainability. Its lodgings are crafted out of recycled wood, while the trees within the property are being preserved to maintain that beautiful natural landscape.

Coffee Jungle

Missing that chill Bali resort vibe? Coffee Jungle, which is located at the Mr. J Filling Station in San Isidro, San Fernando in Pampanga, just might satiate that longing—at least, for now.

Hanging plants, stylish furniture and neon lights that welcomes you to this jungle certainly make a few photos here well worth the space in your social feeds. And while you “find your wild,” you might as well feast on a few favorites here—pizza, chicken wings, coffee, fresh juices, and yes, they have wine, too.

Moon Cafe

If you’re a low-key fan of anything Korean then you’ll love this cafe along Fil-Am Friendship Highway in Angeles City.

Moon Cafe exudes that bright, minimalist, chic vibe of a cafe in Seoul, Korea, with its black-and-white color scheme, modern fixtures, and a white subway-tile accent wall—making you all set for that great IG post. Best to try out its pineapple pastries, salted-egg pasta and rum cocktails.

Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort

Nestled in tropical flora, eye-candy landscapes and golf courses, Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort will make your stay in Pampanga easy, comfy and relaxing—whether you’re here for a business meeting, a conference or a long weekend with your family.

The resort features more than 300 well appointed rooms, including King Guest Rooms and King One-Bedroom Suites with Balcony, which offer a view of either the pool or the nearby lake. Its superb location makes it accessible to a lot of exciting activities within Clark—it’s just 2.7 km away from Clark Museum, 5.1 km away from the Clark Freeport Zone, and 7.2 km away from Clark International Airport.
