NLEX starts road raising works at SCTEX

NLEX Corporation has began raising the elevation of a 640-meter portion of the Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) Dinalupihan to curb the risk of flooding and expects to complete the project by third quarter of 2022.

“We continue to improve our infrastructure so they can withstand future climate risks,” noted NLEX Corporation President and General Manager J. Luigi L. Bautista.

The tollway firm is also doing improvement works, such as construction of new pavement on top of the existing one, and addition of new culverts or drainage.

They have started clearing the area and removing guardrails.

Minimal lane closures are being implemented for the duration of the construction, but NLEX Corp. assures motorists that traffic management and safety measures are in place to ensure safety and minimize travel delays.

Road signs and other warning devices have been installed to guide motorists.

Aside from this project, NLEX Corporation is upgrading the northbound portion of the Candaba Viaduct and repairing the Pasig-Potrero Bridge in Porac, Pampanga to provide safer and more efficient travel to motorists.

Recently, the company completed the link slab replacement of the southbound segment of the San Matias Bridge located between San Fernando and San Simon interchanges in Pampanga.

NLEX Corporation is a subsidiary of the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the toll road arm of the Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC).
