MANILA, Philippines — Property owners’ worst nightmare is for their property to be invaded by abusive squatters, professional squatting syndicates, and unlawful occupants. The law on ejectment is not really taught in law schools. Many lawyers make mistakes in filing cases at the expense of the property owners. A precise knowledge of the correct legal remedies and practical non-legal ways are essential for a successful and speedy recovery and possession of your property.
This program is to protect your property from unlawful occupants and to efficiently utilize ejectment actions and provisional remedies available in the speedy recovery of your land or building to avoid further damage from prolonged dispossession.
The lecture will include other special laws of great concern to land developers such as Republic Act 6552 (The Maceda Law) that governs sales on installment of real property, Presidential Decree 1517 (The Urban Land Reform Law), Republic Act 7279 (The Lina Law), Tenancy law and more. It will also include essential updates on “Government Initiatives vs. Professional Squatters & Squatting Syndicates and How Your Government Can Help Property Owners”.
The training will be led by CGBP course director and lecturer, Alvin Claridades. He is the author of 18 bestselling law books such as Land Titles and Deeds, Laws on Easement, Road Right-of-Way, Building and Setback, Agrarian Law, and The Revised IRR of the National Building Code of the Philippines.
The program will also feature (Ret.) Gen. Efren Fernandez who has extensive years of experience in peacefully and effectively removing thousands of illegal dwellers. He is former president and CEO of Public Safety Mutual Benefit Funds, Inc, was undersecretary at the Department of National Defense, a PNP officer and member of Philippine Military Academy Class ’71.

CGBP is an accredited training provider of the DILG-LGA Academy and the Civil Service Commission. Government employees who enroll in this training will not be covered by Philippine Procurement Law or RA 9184 based on its Revised IRR’s Section 4.5-b, which classifies training and seminars as non-procurement activities. DBM circular 563 issued on April 22, 2016 also exempts public officials and government employees from the P2,000-limit per day on training fees.
