This Art Gallery and Café in Rizal Has a Roofdeck with a 360-Degree View of the Metro

ArtSector Gallery and Chimney Rooftop 360 is open during quarantine.

Rizal remains to be one of the top weekend destinations of city dwellers seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of the urban jungle. A mere two-hour drive will get you to a number of great hiking spots, nature retreats, restaurants, and cool cafes. ArtSector Gallery and its Chimney Café 360 are just one of the many reasons to pay a visit.

The Space

Upon first glance, the architectural design of the building might remind you of Pinto Art Museum (also located in Rizal). Both places were actually designed by multi-awarded visual artist Antonio Leaño. But what makes ArtSector different from Pinto Art Museum, aside from the latter’s vast area, is that it treats its customers to a relaxing view of the surrounding cities and mountains.

For an entrance fee of P200, you will have access to ArtSector’s five spacious, bright, and airy levels. Most floors have top-to-bottom glass windows that allow visitors to dine while gazing at the sunset or looking out over the horizon. The interiors are simple with a no-frills industrial design that lets you focus on the art, the food, and the view only.

The fourth level houses the roof deck and the 360-degree rooftop can be found in the fifth level. You can bask in an unobstructed view of the Metro Manila cityscape, Laguna Lake, Sierra Madre Mountains, and even the Pililia Windmills. You can spend a laid-back afternoon watching the sun dip on the horizon and the lights slowly light up all over the city below.

Before you go and snap some photos of that beautiful view, make sure to spend time walking through the four quaint galleries in the building. The pieces feature Filipino artists and their craft (paintings, sculptures, mixed media) displayed for every visitor to admire.

The Food

Another reason why ArtSector is worth visiting is their meals which are easy on the pockets. The restaurant, Chimney Café 360, has an affordable menu that offers Kani Salad, Pizza Margherita, Pesto Pasta, Pancit Canton, and Lemon Grass Wings. Their beverage menu includes coffee, tea, alcohol, mocktail, and wine. The most expensive meal would only cost you P299. Click here for the full menu.

Operations during GCQ/ECQ

Guests must place a reservation for their visit at least two (2) days in advance. Send the café’s Facebook page a message indicating your date of visit, number of people, a photo of your ID, and your contact information. Guests are also required to pre-order packed food and to pay for it through bank transfer via BPI or BDO.

Reservations are limited to the first 25 orders paid online. These are only for the slot entry on the day, not table reservations. That’s still on a first-come-first-served basis.

Here are additional restrictions guests must comply to during ECQ/GCQ:

  • No mask, no entry
  • Guests with fever or cough won’t be allowed in
  • Observe two meters of social distancing
